Robotics + Conversational and Augmented AI Use Cases

Following are examples of companies driving the growing transition and transformation of the human-machine partnership and in newer and wider context of robotics.

Conversational AI and Social Robotics: Startup company building a social robotics and conversational system platform - the socially intelligent robots are designed to mimic human personality, gesture, and intonation. The company’s robots use computer animation and projection to create an expression, while its brain is built on a social intelligence platform that can be programmed to participate socially, enabling people to interact with machines the same way they interact with each other.

Advanced home, education and entertainment robots designed to help people live easier, safer and have fun: The company’s robot, Buddy, is built on an platform with its development tools to give life to a companion with incredible potential. Using Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies, computer vision, natural language processing, and gesture controls, the company is changing the way personal robots are used to improve everyone’s life, and more particularly, create social ties, support childhood learning, watch over and take care of our elders.

Humanoid with an emotion engine: At 120cm (4ft), Pepper has been optimized for engaging with people through conversation and the touch screen. There are currently over 25,000 SoftBank robots, Pepper and NAO, used in more than 70 countries in the fields of retail, tourism, healthcare, finance and education.

Commercial Cleaning: An autonomous vacuum sweeper that’s completely reinventing commercial carpet cleaning. Using a trusted AI platform, it delivers a high quality, efficient clean - with proof of performance. Whiz saves employees time, allowing them to focus on other cleaning and disinfecting tasks, it also reduces repetitive, injury inducing work. It is the first vacuum sweeper that offers real data about each cleaning. Clients can see how, when, and where cleaning was performed.
